Copenhagen Fashion Week is renowned for being a fashion scene that has managed to carve its niche. A symbol of Danish street style, Copenhagen is a creative hub where the trendiest brands and the most sought-after influencers gather every year. Moreover, the event is known as the place to spot the defining trends for the upcoming season. And we joined in on the fun. During the Copenhagen Fashion Week dedicated to spring-summer 2024, we spotted 5 fashion trends that are likely to explode in the coming months.
Denim from Head to Toe
Denim made a bold statement during Copenhagen Fashion Week. Designers took an innovative approach by rethinking classic denim pieces. From denim jackets to wide jeans and denim dresses, all these items were reimagined with modern and surprising details. Laser cutouts, artistic embroidery, patches, and texture mixing have given new life to this iconic fabric.

But what gained unanimous approval were the total denim looks, from head to toe. While denim pieces have already had their moment in the spotlight, the total denim look is a different story. Tonal denim strikes a balance with a perfect blend of elegance and casualness. And we love it!

Natural Colors
If you’re tired of loud colors, the Barbie pink trend, or bright red, you’ll surely cling to the Copenhagen trend. Because for spring/summer 2024, it’s no longer the colorful shades and flashy hues that are loved, but indeed natural colors. In all simplicity, and just like in Danish living, which promotes minimalism, the focus is on soft, warm, and even earthy tones. A bit like a nod to nature and natural elements, the shades for 2024 will give way to fabrics and silhouettes.

Wide Pants
Wide pants have become a staple in our wardrobes in recent years, taking the place of skinny jeans and other leggings. And this fashion week confirms it. Flare jeans, cargos, baggy pants, and other flared trousers will always find their place in the coming months. So forget about body-hugging jeans, and opt for low-rise pants with a loose fit. It’s the guarantee to be on-trend. And in terms of aesthetics, anything goes. Distressed jeans, patchwork, asymmetrical cuts… The more deconstructed the pants, the better they fit.

Deconstructed Tailoring
This trend highlights elements of classic tailoring but with an unconventional approach. Blazers, jackets, and trousers are reimagined with asymmetrical cuts, unexpected overlays, and exposed stitching details. Think of a top with exaggerated shoulders or a dress with asymmetrical finishes. This way of wearing clothing modernizes our formal outfits, bringing an unexpected twist amidst claims. Clothing becomes a symbol of expression.

Sculpted Silhouette
The last trend spotted at the Copenhagen Fashion Week: the defined waist.
A symbol of hyper-femininity, the cinched waist is set to be a future trend for the upcoming season. Everything that can emphasize the waist and sculpt the silhouette will be favored. A corset over a shirt, a belt over a blazer, a dress that plays with transparency to define curves… With this trend, the pieces accompany your silhouette, not the other way around.
