6 Men’s Labels from London Fashion Week You Must Discover Urgently!

This publication is also available in: Français English (UK) Deutsch Italiano Español

The London Fashion Week ends tomorrow and, while some lucky ones can still party and enjoy the last moments of this event, others are already back at work dissecting the trends of the upcoming season (spoiler alert: fashion journalists).

London Fashion Week has that little something extra: less consensus, more provocative, more elegant than the rest… In short, so British, and that’s why we love it! We often talk about the feminine looks that will shape the upcoming trends, but this event also reveals incredible creators who are redefining the codes of masculinity.

In this article, I invite you to discover six designers who have marked this edition of London Fashion Week by shaking up conventions and gender norms. Here are the talents to watch closely and discover urgently!

1. Carlota Barrera

This brand explores men’s fashion through the feminine gaze of its creator. Inspired by her family heritage, queer questioning, and gender identity, Carlota creates masculine silhouettes that challenge the place of men in our contemporary society. Her creations, fluid, powerful, and imbued with romance, redefine masculine allure. At Carlota Barrera, the man embodies confident sensuality, revealing a complex and fascinating beauty through outfits that combine strength and delicacy.

2. Clothsurgeon

How to describe a brand of quiet luxury from London? Simple, harmonious, experimental, and mastering the art of wearing the trench coat while perfectly embodying the essence of “quiet luxury.”

It offers pieces with a minimalist aesthetic sometimes inspired by sportswear culture. Under the direction of founder and creative director Rav Matharu, the brand has recently opened its store on the very famous Savile Row, the cradle of men’s haute couture in London.

(Interesting anecdote: it is this iconic street that inspired the name of the brand The Row, created by the Olsen sisters.)

3. Dunhill

English, pardon, men’s outfits just the way we like them! Impossible to be more British, and at the same time, we love this original and tailored aspect that the English master perfectly. Polos, ties, and well-fitted suits enhanced with chic color touches like burgundy, not to mention the logos on wool cardigans. Dunhill specializes in quintessential English men’s fashion by offering modern and elegant silhouettes.

4. Gravalot

Drawing on its African heritage, the label explores men’s fashion by drawing inspiration from “black culture”. Each piece is crafted with respect for traditions and then adapted for the Fashion Week runways.

The brand, founded by Onye Anuna and Prince Comrie in London in 2014, embraces its strong identity and values: fashion is a quest for self-discovery and must be made under good conditions, both in respect for craftsmanship and for nature.

5. Oliver Spencer

A blend of coolness, simplicity, and modernity: this is the prototype of the man according to Oliver Spencer. The brand’s goal is to embrace British lifestyle and turn it into a style, and what we can say is that it’s well done! Since its creation in 2002, Oliver Spencer has five stores in London. Placing the environment at the heart of its concerns, the label works exclusively with ethical factories and uses as many natural materials as possible.

6. Kyle Ho

Creating men’s clothing that is sexy and embraces a certain vulnerability is no small feat, but Kyle Ho rises to the challenge. He reinterprets established norms in men’s fashion to offer men a more progressive style. His philosophy is to create to break free from traditions and transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. He uses haute couture and oversized silhouettes to incorporate them into ready-to-wear models.
