In a breath of elegance, Balenciaga reconnects with its glorious past by launching a line of perfumes that evokes the very essence of the House. Inspired by the illustrious Le Dix, introduced by Cristóbal Balenciaga in 1947, this collection of ten fragrances is intended as an ode to the heritage and timeless creativity that characterize the brand.
An olfactory renaissance
This initiative, orchestrated by the Kering group, demonstrates the company’s ambition to weave connections between the world of fashion and that of beauty. Following the acquisition of Creed and Bottega Veneta‘s entry into the sector, Balenciaga is now positioned as an essential player in the luxury perfume industry.
In a muted atmosphere just steps away from the historic 10 Avenue George V, a privileged group of journalists had the opportunity to discover this collection in advance. “We wanted the perfumes to be a continuation of fashion,” confides a member of the Kering Beauty team, highlighting the desire to merge creative universes. The team even traced the fascinating history of the original bottle of Le Dix, a true gem in the history of perfumery, whose first version was rediscovered thanks to meticulously preserved archives.
“It’s a piece of Balenciaga history.”
This return to the roots is not merely a tribute, but a true renaissance that promises to redefine the standards of luxury through bold olfactory compositions. By celebrating its heritage, Balenciaga invites reflection on beauty and art, while reminding us that each perfume tells a unique story. At the dawn of this new era, the House asserts itself as a beacon of innovation in the world of haute perfumery.
