What if summer vacations were overrated? As we reach the end of summer, there is one trend that I absolutely love for escaping and changing up my style, and that is the weekend bag for a short getaway outside of school holidays. Enjoying Indian summer for as long as possible, spending a weekend by the sea before school starts, or strolling in a dress through a port city… all of this without stress and with just one travel bag to pack all your outfits.

The slowly approaching month of September is the ideal time for a romantic getaway, and if, like me, you love to go on weekends while bringing your favorite outfits, keep reading, because I will reveal the most beautiful weekend bags that you absolutely must have.

Why invest in a Weekend Bag?

Smaller than a suitcase, perfect for a two or three-day trip with friends or a loved one, the weekend bag is an accessory that we call a basic in fashion that you should own to travel light.

The goal is to be able to pack everything you need for a little getaway, namely: three outfits, your beauty essentials, your documents, a book or an iPad, while keeping a little space to bring back a souvenir home. The advantage of the weekend bag lies in the fact that it is large enough, easy to handle, and can be stored easily without taking up too much space. Choose it carefully: opt for a shoulder strap if you have a bit of walking to do before reaching your rental. The handles of your bag should be soft, firm, and comfortable to the touch.
