Abracadabra! Here’s another lovely magic trick from Disneyland Paris. On March 7, 2025, Jean Imbert took the helm of the new restaurant “La Forêt Secrète by Jean Imbert” in the iconic Disneyland Hotel. The star chef offers a gastronomic and enchanting culinary experience set in a captivating forest decor. Whether you’ve spent a thrilling day in Mickey’s kingdom or are simply visiting the restaurant, La Forêt Secrète promises an enchanted interlude, where you can disconnect and indulge. A true gustatory fairy tale.

Jean Imbert, an extraordinary journey to Mickey’s home
He has been everywhere since his victory in season 3 of Top Chef in 2012. He can be found running the Plaza Athénée and Monsieur Dior in Paris, at La Case in Saint Barth, or even in the kitchens of the prestigious Orient Express. He is friends with stars, from Omar Sy to Pharrell Williams, and is adored by critics. It is no surprise to find the chef at the head of a new ambitious project, La Forêt Secrète by Jean Imbert. Passionate about the Disney universe since childhood, the chef shares: “What I wanted to convey in the menu is this invitation to travel through the Disney worlds found at Disneyland Paris. I offer guests a journey from one universe to another through the dishes, from The Little Mermaid to Ratatouille, including Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Caribbean, always with a focus on respecting the seasonality of products. With this menu, I hope that customers will enjoy an enchanted interlude in an environment inspired by the legendary forests found in some of Disney’s Classics!”

Among the dishes featured on the menu of La Forêt Secrète, the culinary adventure can start with “Under the Sea,” a starter with flavors of the sea inspired by the Walt Disney animated film The Little Mermaid. This colorful dish made with perfectly cooked langoustines, shellfish prepared in a marinière style, a touch of caviar, and sea jelly will delight the guests. On the other hand, “Madame Samovar’s Broth” promises an excursion into the castle of Beauty and the Beast, with its root vegetable ravioli and vegetable and truffle broth.

These creations, imagined by chef Jean Imbert and his executive chef Moussa Konaté, invite diners to escape. “The Tajine of Prince Ali,” a dish with sunny flavors and inspired by Aladdin, reveals a stuffed hen with dates and dried fruits accompanied by vegetables, while “The Caribbean Pot,” inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean films, offers a delicate combination of medium-rare Mediterranean tuna, passion fruit vinaigrette, and Colombo spice and tamarind sauce. “Remy’s Ratatouille,” with its tomato water and white balsamic condiment, as well as “Tony and Joe’s Spaghetti,” featuring confit veal, tomato jus, and Comté emulsion, provide a gourmet immersion into the world of Ratatouille (Pixar) and Lady and the Tramp.

At the table of La Forêt Secrète, the chef has of course thought of the children. He offers them “The Fairy Godmother’s Soup,” a warm and delicious nod to Cinderella, featuring pumpkin and chestnut gnocchi, as well as “The Lantern Festival,” a journey into the world of Tangled with its fish & chips and tartar sauce. Finally, guests will have the choice among an assortment of desserts, for both adults and kids, created by Jean Imbert in collaboration with his pastry chef Axel Michenaud.
The journey continues with “The Sand of the Lost Ark,” made with candied lemon and almond crumble, enhanced by ice cream and vanilla mousse, all drizzled with flowing caramel, evoking the famous story of Indiana Jones. Chocolate lovers can, in turn, finish off beautifully with the “Mickey Soufflé,” made with Peruvian chocolate featuring a hazelnut praline insert and hazelnut ice cream. Kids can enjoy, among others, “Tic & Tac’s Ice-Cream Hazelnut” with its hot chocolate emulsion or “Little Jean’s Fruit Salad” with crunchy tuile and vanilla juice.

A magical decor
Within La Forêt Secrète by Jean Imbert, creativity is expressed both on the plate and in the scenography where every detail serves the immersion. Like this majestic Murano chandelier, adorned with foliage and birds, that overlooks the central dining table, casting a warm light. The mural, entirely hand-crafted, depicts a forest in a thousand shades of green. The tableware signed by the Bernardaud House, with floral patterns, specially created for the restaurant, as well as a selection of silverware from the Christofle House, contribute to providing guests with an unforgettable experience.
