Alexa Chung and Barbour are no strangers to collaboration. Indeed, the model and the British brand have already created numerous collaborations around the classics of the label. Familiar with Barbour since her early childhood (like any self-respecting Brit), Alexa Chung has developed a great affection for the brand over the years and knows its history and signature cuts perfectly.
The Edit by Alexa Chung x Barbour thus celebrates the heritage of the English brand, while infusing it with the stylist’s personal touch.
Alexa Chung’s Urban Countryside Wardrobe for Barbour
For this eighth collaboration (if we haven’t lost track), the duo presents a capsule collection, designed as a marriage between the countryside and the city. The iconic silhouettes of Barbour are enhanced by the urban and trendy flair of Alexa Chung. In the collection’s presentation video, she emphasized that the pieces were designed to be easy to wear, comfortable, and make one feel good.
Among the outerwear, we find a trench coat, a wax jacket, and two quilted jackets, featuring vintage and trendy influences. These carefully reimagined pieces reveal charming details, such as the trench with a removable hood, which unveils a tartan pattern inside, one of the key patterns of the season. These pieces showcase colors rooted in the Barbour palette, including green, midnight blue, black, gray, with hints of copper and lime for a zesty look.
In addition to offering 4 redesigned signature jackets, The Edit by Alexa Chung x Barbour collection is complemented by a knitted cardigan by Harleys of Scotland. This absolutely adorable piece adds a touch of softness and color to the outfits. It is available in a vibrant red, a buttermilk yellow, and a pastel blue.
The collection also includes modernized kilt-style midi skirts, striped sweaters, ruffled shirts, and other Wellington boots. In essence, the perfect autumn wardrobe for a stroll in the countryside or an urban excursion.
