50 years, let’s celebrate! In 2025, Europa-Park, the largest amusement park in Germany, and nine times awarded best amusement park in the world, will blow out its candles. Half a century of wonder, family adventures, and thrilling sensations. And to celebrate this historic milestone, the Mack family is pulling out all the stops: new attractions, new shows, an international animated film, a spectacular parade, extended evenings… the 50th anniversary of Europa-Park promises to be rich in emotions!
Half a century of escape in the heart of Europe
Since 1975, Europa-Park has been taking young and old on a journey through the cultures and landscapes of Europe. With over 100 attractions and shows, 14 roller coasters, and 17 themed areas representing European countries, the park has become a must-visit destination for lovers of entertainment and imagination. Among its most famous roller coasters are Silver Star, which remains one of the fastest coasters in Europe to this day, and the latest addition, Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac, a coaster with innovative elements, including seven inversions, four launches, 2.2 seconds of weightlessness, and the steepest launch in the world at 105 degrees!
Since the park’s creation, it is no surprise that nearly 150 million visitors have crossed its gates, coming from all walks of life. An impressive figure, but not surprising when you consider that the park welcomes each year over 6 million visitors, more than one-fifth of whom are French! And to join them easily, nothing could be simpler: the TGV INOUI connects Paris to Europa-Park in just 2h37, with a direct shuttle from Ringsheim station. Nothing will stop you from celebrating the 50th anniversary of Europa-Park in style!
A spectacular anniversary year
The kickoff for the 50 years of Europa-Park was on March 22, 2025, and the celebration is just beginning! The park has planned an extraordinary program designed for all ages, all desires, and all sensitivities.
Two summer evenings extended until midnight will offer more than 15 hours of non-stop fun: on July 12, the park’s anniversary, and on August 23, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the JUNIOR CLUB. The program includes attractions open late, a festive atmosphere, shows, surprises, and a fireworks display of emotions.
Under the motto “Escape. Have fun. In Europe.”, the park celebrates the European spirit through thematic parties, a new colorful parade featuring majestic floats and flamboyant costumes, as well as a series of unprecedented shows to amaze visitors throughout the year.
Total immersion with Ed & Edda
The famous mascots Ed & Edda are more celebrated than ever in 2025. For the first time, they come to life on the big screen in the animated film SUPER GRAND PRIX, a co-production of MACK Magic and Warner Bros. Film Productions Germany. Catch this adventure full of humor, twists, and European values at the cinema starting October 8, 2025.
And to extend the experience, head to the Luxembourg area of the park where GRAND PRIX EDventure, a brand new 3D interactive dark ride, will open in 2025. On dynamic vehicles, visitors are invited to take part in an exhilarating race across Europe alongside their favorite animated heroes. A breathtaking family adventure!
Rulantica lights up for the 50 years of Europa-Park
The 50 years of Europa-Park do not stop at the boundaries of the main park. At Rulantica, the neighboring water world, the very first Nordic Festival of Lights has inaugurated the anniversary year with a magical visual enchantment. Until March 21, 2025, magical lights, dancing northern lights, and aquatic shows transform the place into a waking dream.
And if you haven’t discovered Rulantica yet, this is the perfect opportunity. Open daily until 10 PM, this aquatic paradise promises dizzying slides, wild rivers, and moments of relaxation under the northern lights. We love the spa area, perfect after a tiring day of loops.
New features at every level
The anniversary wouldn’t be complete without a few tangible surprises! The Camp Resort is transforming into Silver Lake City, a true western town. New accommodations, dining options, infrastructure… everything has been designed to welcome even more visitors in a unique and exotic setting.
Finally, a limited edition anniversary collection will allow park fans to take home a precious souvenir: a collector’s album, a beautiful book recounting the history of Europa-Park, and other treasures to extend the magic at home.
