Close your eyes and relax… self-hypnosis is a fascinating practice that boosts self-esteem by reconnecting with your subconscious.

Self-esteem is the way we assess our own worth. If it wavers, it can affect how we see ourselves, as well as our friendships and romantic relationships.

Passionate about well-being and mental health, I decided to regularly test self-hypnosis, and the results are impressive.

For several days in a row, I listened to an audio session on an app before going to sleep. I’m sharing my experience with you.

Ready to travel through the whirlwind of the mind to boost your self-esteem?

What is self-hypnosis?

Stop the clichés! Let’s break a myth.. you do not lose control of your mind when you are hypnotized at all.

Self-hypnosis is a very relaxing technique that allows you to change certain behaviors, regain a better rhythm of life by entering a modified state of consciousness.

The purpose of self-hypnosis is therapeutic. Its practice helps us better understand our behaviors, manage our emotions, and improve our self-esteem.

Self-hypnosis facilitates change and the establishment of new habits.

You are safe when practicing self-hypnosis, and you can exit the “trance” state whenever you wish; you hear and understand everything happening around you.

Why use self-hypnosis to improve self-esteem?

Self-esteem reflects the way we perceive ourselves. It develops in childhood and can be shaken by our experiences.

We are all born with incredible self-confidence. Unfortunately, life experiences often leave our self-esteem battered. Just look at children. They are ashamed of nothing, live in the moment, and fully experience their emotions!

Why is self-hypnosis a valuable tool for boosting self-esteem? Because it directly impacts our subconscious and changes beliefs from within.

It’s one of the fastest solutions to overcome your blockages and take charge of your life.

How to practice self-hypnosis?

For a successful self-hypnosis session, settle in a quiet place wearing comfortable clothes.

Personally, I like to lie down in bed with a blanket to feel warm. I use a (paid) app, but there are free audios on YouTube.

Use headphones to immerse yourself and avoid distractions from small noises.

Allow between half an hour and an hour for your session.

The beginning of the session will help you relax and prepare your mind to positively receive suggestions. You will then breathe deeply until you are completely relaxed. In the next phase, you will introspect your body, and finally, you will be ready to follow the indications and suggestions.

What self-hypnosis does to your subconscious

A fundamental concept of Freudian psychology, the subconscious acts “on our behalf” in our behaviors, and let’s be clear, it is not always our friend! It is indeed our subconscious that creates these limiting beliefs and certain repetitive patterns.

Hypnosis works on our subconscious in a state of absolute relaxation by replacing negative beliefs with positive ones.

With this practice, it is possible to return to the heart of a memory and change the emotions attached to a particular event. In this way, it is possible to change a behavior that was built on fear and create a new, healthier, and more positive thought system.

What I took away from this experience

I loved this practice partly because it allows for deep relaxation, and on the other hand, I find that the results are immediately visible.

Without having major confidence issues, I, like everyone, had moments of doubt and a fear of others’ judgment.

I feel like I was able to free myself from this anxiety thanks to hypnosis and to be much, much calmer.

Physically, I feel more at ease and have gained confidence.

Will I do self-hypnosis again?

Definitely yes!

Self-hypnosis has many advantages. The first: you can practice alone and at your own pace. Then, it’s a quick therapy that addresses a specific issue.

Working on self-esteem is so important that I think I will repeat this practice from time to time.

Caring for your mental health is essential. We will soon share more practices to better live and boost your confidence.
