What are the boot styles to wear this winter?

Summer is still lingering a bit in some regions of France, but it won’t last long. Indeed, winter is inevitably coming, and it’s time to think about updating your winter wardrobe. Today, we’re going to talk about shoes, and more specifically, boots and ankle boots, to tell you which models are the trendiest this year. 

The Return of Retro Boots

This winter, we are witnessing a strong comeback of the typical 1970s ankle boot. First, the platform style with a square heel, ideally worn with “bell-bottom” pants. We particularly love shiny ankle boots in green or burgundy, or even yellow. This type of boot will be gladly worn with wide-leg high-waisted pants that give the impression of having disproportionately long legs. On top, one can wear a colorful silk shirt, a denim shirt, or a fitted turtleneck sweater.

Chelsea Boots

The Chelsea boot is a fitted ankle boot with elastic sides. This winter, the Chelsea boot comes in two very different styles. First, we will find the classic Chelsea, elegant and slim with a square heel, to be worn with wide pleated trousers and an oversized jacket. Finally, for elegant outfits and more casual looks, we will still opt for classic heeled ankle boots with a decorative element (leather strap, gold or silver buckle). These ankle boots can be worn with anything: with an elegant dress, with fitted pants, with a skirt, or even with jeans.
