Staying young, yes, but only with facial tools and no surgery, please! We’ve already talked about face yoga that helps you regain your youth with a few exercises a day. Well, there are other affordable complementary techniques to challenge the passing time, and of course, always without a scalpel.
In this article, I share my favorite facial tools that relax, reshape, tone… in short, that feel good and help maintain the youth of your skin. You are going to love taking care of yourself!
The different facial tools
- The facial spa vaporizer
A steam bath for the face is a youth cure in itself for your skin. By sweating, you will release toxins and promote cell renewal. Moreover, humidity naturally hydrates your epidermis, which will soften and look younger.
Frequency of use: Treat yourself to a facial spa once a week. If you have the time, make it a little wellness ritual by taking time to relax and breathe well.

- The ice globes
The cold is excellent for circulation, and using ice globes on your face will, on one hand, decongest the skin and, on the other hand, enhance the effect of your day cream, as the pores are more open in the morning and, therefore, more receptive to the treatment.
Keep the ice globes in the refrigerator and in a small airtight box to avoid food odors.
Frequency of use: Every morning (yes, you will see, it’s just a habit to adopt). You will love waking up your skin with these ice globes.

- The lifting roller or jade roller
The roller is one of the facial tools that you must absolutely incorporate into your morning beauty routine.
By using it regularly, you will be surprised to see that your dark circles are diminished, your wrinkles smoother, and your skin plumper. Its draining action provides a little lymphatic massage to your face and improves blood circulation.
Remember to use your roller after, and only after, applying an oil or cream to your face to avoid damaging your bare skin.
Frequency of use: every morning in addition to or instead of the ice globes.

- The Gua Sha stone
Similar to the jade roller, the Gua Sha stone is also used to reshape the contours of the face. Its benefits for the skin are real and have been known for hundreds of years as it is used in traditional Chinese medicine. It is most often made of rose quartz but can also be made of jade.
Frequency of use: as often as possible depending on your skin’s sensitivity. If you encounter dermatological issues, do not continue this practice; however, by listening to your body and using the right techniques, there is no risk, and the results are surprising.
The Gua Sha stone is used like this:

- The ultra-soft brush
An affordable must-have for gently and deeply cleansing the skin. Choose one that is very soft, made of synthetic or natural fibers, and remember to clean it after each use to keep it clean for as long as possible.
The grip is very simple, and small circles should be made on the cheeks, forehead, and chin while avoiding the eyes and the neck where the skin is very thin.
Frequency of use: very sensitive skins will use it one to two times a week, while normal skin can use it more often, knowing that it is not necessary to cleanse the skin every day as it may weaken the epidermis.

How to prepare your face in the morning?
Before equipping yourself with facial tools, it is important to thoroughly cleanse your skin. Start by removing your makeup with a milk, micellar water, or solid makeup remover.
Next, cleanse deeply, but especially gently with an antibacterial synthetic fiber brush to purify the skin and remove all impurities. Rinse with cold water to tone the skin, and let’s admit it, nothing is better to wake up!
Once your skin is clean, apply your usual day cream without pressing too hard. Depending on your preference, massage with your jade roller, Gua Sha stone, or lifting roller.
Then gently but firmly tap with your fingertips starting from the neck to the forehead for a final boost before starting your day.
The good habits to adopt
- Drink plenty of water
Our body and skin are mostly made up of water, so it is important to stay hydrated throughout the day.
By drinking at least 1.5 liters a day, your skin will be more radiant, visibly healthy, and it helps the liver to rid itself of toxins.
- Get some fresh air
Walking for a few minutes a day outside can improve our mental and physical health. Walking stimulates blood circulation and is good for our skin. Keep this in mind the next time you have a short trip to make.
- A healthy diet
This is essential for having beautiful skin. Of course, prioritize vegetables and eliminate processed and sugary products as much as possible, which prematurely age the skin.
